A compelling story of a maths genius that features a stellar cast and strong script.
THE MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY leaps straight from the history books to the big screen to deliver an amazing true tale about the genius of one man. The story of self-taught mathematical genius, Srinivasa Ramanujan teaches us not only a story of numbers, but one of determination, passion, spirituality and the power of love & friendship.
It was always going to be a challenge to make a movie about mathematicians interesting, yet this clever, unique mix of drama, romance and the truth makes it an interesting film. The performances are stunning, Jeremy Irons has always been an incredible actor and this role is suited to his sarcasm and cynicism. Dev Patel continues to evolve as an actor and his performances grow stronger with each role he takes on. The supporting cast of Toby Jones, Kevin McNally and Anthony Calf are also strong.
Overall it is a clever film, with a phenomenal cast, this true story does seem embellished upon, but it makes for an interesting movie.
