Skyscraper - 1 Star

Soulless, with plot holes everywhere this Dwayne Johnson thriller was nothing working for it.

A father goes to great lengths to save his family from a burning skyscraper.

Director/writer Rawson Marshall Thurber hasn’t crafted a fun action film, it really wants to be Die Hard or Towering Inferno, but it just doesn’t have the same magic. The situation is obviously ludicrous and that can work when you have interesting characters, however they are non-existent.

Filled with big explosions and ludicrous stunts against a bad CGI backdrop this film is one to avoid.
