Frivolous fun is worth a look.
A college student relives the day of her murder with both its unexceptional details and terrifying end until she discovers her killer's identity.
The premise is hardly new, it’s pretty much a combination of Scream Queens and Groundhog Day (the latter of which is mentioned in the film). Writer Scott Lobdell has created some interesting, but ultimately stereotypical characters. Jessica Rothe carries the film well and the supporting cast, especially Israel Broussard are strong. The comedy certainly shines stronger than the drama/horror aspect, but some scenes are bound to frighten. The aesthetic of the film is well-planned and the colour scheme stands out from the get-go.
Overall a frivolous horror movie that is an enjoyable watch.
