Ant-Man - 3.5 Stars

This highly enjoyable Marvel movie offering, is a fantastic caper movie, better than Guardians of the Galaxy, but not quite as strong as Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Like any of the Marvel films the visual effects were outstanding, it looked like a million dollars. What I enjoyed most about this film was the quality of acting. Michael Douglas certainly brought a level of gravitas to the film, much like Anthony Hopkins did with Thor and his performance as Hank Pym was outstanding. I would’ve very much liked to see a bit more of Hank in the Ant-Man suit, as Douglas certainly could’ve played the superhero of the piece.

Paul Rudd was also strong in his role, his comedic timing was perfect and it was interesting that he shined the most when his character was emotional – maybe he may take on more serious roles in the future?

I do advise everyone stay until the very end, the very end it is definitely worth the wait.

Overall this Marvel film is fun for the whole family, it has powerhouse performances and looks amazing!
