2015 in Movies - The Best and the Worst

2015 has seen the release of many majorly anticipated films, so after seeing 87 films this year here are the Top 10 and the bottom 10 films!

Bottom 10

10 By The Sea

The Angelina Jolie Pitt film was an utter embarrassment to cinema. It was boring, long and unnecessary - a major let down!

9.Sicario

Another highly anticipated film that was exceptionally boring. While the acting was ok the story and depth of the characters lacked.

8.We Are Your Friends

A disastrous film starring Zac Efron had nothing going for it and is one of the worst box-office flops of all time.

7.Last Cab To Darwin

Highly anticipated and critically acclaimed Aussie drama was too long and the story didn’t advance fast enough to make it entertaining!

6.Fantastic Four

No more needs to be said.

5. Mr Holmes

Sherlock Holmes film in nothing but name created a major let-down.

4.Aloha

Really, Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone. Really?

3.Billy Elliot the Musical LIVE

Having never seen the Billy Elliot Musical live I was quite looking forward to this broadcast. It was one of the longest and worst musicals I ever seen. Elton John’s music was terrible and the acting and dance routines were abominable, I really can’t see the appeal of this musical!!

2.A Royal Night Out

Embarrassing to watch.

1. Chappie

A major sci-fi flop.

Top 10

10.Freeheld

Ellen Page and Julianne Moore give Oscar worthy performances in this adaptation of the true story!

9. Me and Earl and The Dying Girl

The cast and script are beautiful in this mature, teen art flick.

8.Irrational Man

This Woody Allen film proves that he hasn’t lost his touch and the on-screen paring of Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone was unlikely, but superb!

7.Trainwreck

This film brought Amy Schumer to the forefront of pop-culture and it’s a superbly enjoyable, fun film!

6.Inside Out

This movie is the most “fun” on this list, but at times it is a touching, moving and sometimes heart-breaking film. The cast and animation are superb and the story is remarkable!

5.The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

One of the most anticipated films of the year enjoyably concluded a mega-franchise.

4.Avengers: Age of Ultron

A very fun, enjoyable movie!

3.Clouds of Sils Maria

A beautiful French/American movie that offers brilliant performances from Kristen Stewart and Juliette Binoche.

2.Big Eyes

This emotional and powerful movie demonstrates the outstanding talent of its cast!

1.Birdman (Or the Unexpected Virtue of Ignore)

A sublime piece of artwork that deserved its best Oscar win!
