The Gift - 4 Stars

A thoroughly chilling new thriller from Australian director, writer and actor Joel Edgerton.

Jason Bateman has taken on a serious acting role in this film and while I was sceptical he delivers an emotionally driven, strong performance. Rebecca Hall was equally as strong as Bateman’s wife and Edgerton was frightening as the antagonist of the film.

Overall, a scary thriller, that is well written and directed and features some strong performances from it’s leading cast.
